About me...

Hi, I'm Darlene Curlee. When I discovered the art of weaving just a few years ago, I had found my passion. I am a self-taught fiber artist and I love the process of weaving, choosing the colors, deciding on stitches and seeing where creating takes me. I love incorporating texture into my weavings using various techniques and thicknesses of fiber. Most of my weaving is done organically, meaning that I don’t follow a pattern, but I start with a vision of what I want to create, and often it develops further as I weave, letting the piece guide me. I also use nature as an inspiration for colors and textures in my weavings.

I love working primarily with natural fibers and creating unique, beautiful wall hangings. All of my work is one of a kind and handmade by me. I use wooden looms; lap loom, frame looms and my latest addition is an extra-large standing loom for creating wonderful large pieces. I can create any size single weaving up to five feet wide and as small as ornament size pieces.

If you have certain colors or a size you would like, let’s talk as I would love to create a custom piece for you based on what you want and love. I can ship almost anywhere. I reside in the beautiful Texas Hill Country with my husband, 2 cats, 2 dogs, chickens and abundant wildlife.
I am a one woman creator and manage all aspects of my business and work.
I do my best to respond quickly and complete projects in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience.
